I’m Dr. Allison Dru, Clinical Psychologist, Reiki Master and Spiritual Awakening Guide. My lifelong passion is bringing my clients to the awakening and healing experiences they are ready for, in the language and modality that speaks to their soul. I am part Midwest and part East Coast, having moved to Philadelphia from Missouri when I was twenty-four. In Missouri, I studied psychology from a cognitive-behavioral perspective; in Philadelphia, I studied psychoanalysis and really began to understand the power of early childhood experiences and the unconscious as it manifests in thoughts, feelings, and behavior. A yoga class in 2012 sparked a journey of spiritual awakening and the realization that even invisible energy and intuition can deeply impact how we heal. Now I believe in the potency of accessing and exploring spirit guides, past-life regression, shadow work, and curiosity about what we don’t yet know. I love being a mom to a freshman in high school and a freshman in college, and spending time reading by the fireplace with my cat, Ruby.

Who I Work Best With (And Why)
The type of clients I have worked with has changed through my years in practice. It’s important to acknowledge that as a therapist, I am also on a healing journey even as I provide healing and care for others. And thus, as I work through various themes and issues in my own life, those who are learning similar (or mirrored) lessons on that path are naturally drawn to working with me. I have long been sought out by individuals identifying across genders who are ambitious, successful in their work lives, and who are starting to realize that their energy is imbalanced and in need of emotional / psychological intervention. Many of my clients have begun to realize that following all the rules of the “matrix” have not gotten them anywhere close to where they wanted to be. They are realizing that life is passing by, with or without them, and their relationships and well-being have taken the biggest hit. This, in turn, can create a crisis or awakening, which is very disconcerting and hard to unpack and navigate alone. At this point, many individuals seek therapy or spiritual support and have found working with me to be a source of knowledge, solace, and even a paradigm shift.
